The Subsea industry holds many applications for the VLR300 inspection system. The most common is inspecting outfall lines. These pipelines often don’t have access for several thousand feet, and shore-side access is often difficult and expensive. As a result, entry through the outlet (water-side) end is often the best option for collecting video and/or sonar data in these pipelines. PipeEye’s long range inspection system is depth rated to 100 feet and can be deployed underwater by divers or other means. In cases where the crawler is required to go to depths greater than 100 feet the pan and tilt camera can substituted with a depth-rated forward view only camera permitting operation to depths of 500 feet. |
